Opportunities and Benefits for Mentors

Become a Mentor – Community Mentorship Network

How You Contribute

As a mentor, you decide your level of involvement based on your availability and interest. You can:

  • Host an Informational Interview – A one-time conversation sharing career insights.
  • Offer an Observership – Allow a student to observe your work environment for a few hours or a day.
  • Provide a Shadowing Opportunity – Let a student follow you for 1-5 days to see your career in action.
  • Support an Internship – Provide hands-on experience through a short-term or long-term internship.
  • Offer a Job or Volunteer Opportunity – Engage students in real-world work experience.

By mentoring, you’ll play a vital role in helping students gain confidence, communication skills, and practical knowledge to shape their futures.

How to Become a Mentor

If you’re interested in mentoring and live and work in the South Bay, we’d love to have you join us! To get started, please fill out our Mentor Interest Questionnaire, where you’ll share your professional background, areas of expertise, and preferred level of involvement. Once submitted, we’ll match you with students whose interests align with your experience.

Together, we can bridge the gap between education and the workforce while fostering a culture of shared learning and professional growth.
